high blood pressure/hear rateFrom: Jacqueline (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Dec 2001 14:10:16 -0600 (CST)
I am confused and am wondering if blood pressure increases when the heart rate increases. My friend had a csection a couple of days ago, and simply said it was b/c her blood pressure went up when her heart rate went up b/c of nerves/excitement. If this were the case, wouldn't that happen to everyone? I know my heart rate increases when I drive by a hospital!!, so it certainly will when I go into labor, even if it's just due to excitement. So..if my heart rate speeds up b/c of nerves/excitement, is my blood pressure going to rise and cause alarm & surgery, too??
