I had never even heard of gbs prior to that. I was only on IV antibiotics for about 2 hours, I have since researched gbs and found out that you need at least 4 hours of IV antibiotics. My daughter ended up getting really sick, she's perfect now, but it was a bit scarey there for the first couple weeks. Early detection is the best for you and your baby! My friend tested positive during her pregnancy, was treated then and also for 4 hours before delivery and her baby showed no signs!!! I'm glad you were tested early, your baby is going to be fine!
