I am currently 8 weeks since LMP (11/1/01), positive HPT at 4 weeks. First OB visit was one week ago, at 7 weeks. Doctor said it was too soon to see anything on ultrasound, but I requested one anyway to confirm pregnancy, because I have not been experiencing any symptoms. Gestational sac measured 5.5 weeks, with no fetal pole or heartbeat. They told me to have another ultrasound in 2 weeks, but could not give me an appointment until almost 4 weeks later (I will be 10.5 weeks by then). The doctor told me that my dates may be off, but I only had intercourse on cycle day 12, 15, 18 so it couldn't be much later than that. Am I basically waiting for the miscarriage to happen? It's hard to be patient, I am trying not to get my hopes up for this pregnancy. I am scared of the miscarriage, what if it happens while I'm at work? Are there any symptoms that I should be looking for? Thank you for any advice on my situation.
