I do not have a lot of experience in dealing with gbs, but I have watched penty of baby shows on TLC and Discovery Health. Both shows have segments every now and then with women who has been diagnosed with GBS. The antibiotics during labor are a very good idea. Everytime I see the shows doing this, they do two rounds of antibiotics before baby is delivered. With this being done, the chances of your baby being completely healthy at birth is ecellent. GBS normally lives in the anal area, and doesn't pose a threat normally, unless it is left untreated and a woman is pregnant. Sounds like your MD is right on track with this. Good luck, and congratulations!
