Not only can you learn to chart your cycles (which can show everything from ovulation to potential issues with your luteal phase, etc) but IF you decide to move on to infertility treatments you will have some homework done before you start. Also, if I understand correctly, you need to at least have a ballpark idea of when you will ovulate in order to most effectively use the ovulation predictor kits and if you are very irregular this might be harder to do.
