Re: Macrobid for a possible UTI

My OB only gives Macrobid with UTI's during pregnancy. (Very safe.) It should clear anything up unless of course you have a resistance to it or something. I constantly feel like I have an infection, but I don't. What I have is bladder spasms. I've had them since my first pregnancy when my bladder was injured during pregnancy and delivery. I have a little burning before I urinate and then a lot of pain afterwards. Is the burning right before or after urination? If it's extreme burning, you might want to give your ob a call and get them to do another test, using a sterile catch. Also, why didn't you take all 5 days of the prescription? I was told that you always finish antibiotics so that you make sure the infection is killed. Hope this helps and that you get some relief soon. Happy Holidays!
