Clomid and Multiple BirthsFrom: Christine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 20 Dec 2001 21:31:03 -0600 (CST)
I have been reading the archives, and have done weeks of research on this as well and still am unclear on some Clomid issues. What I do know is that Clomid increases the likelihood of twins. What is the approximate percent chance of this happening? I am on 50mg now, Days 3-7 and am wondering if my risk of a multiple pregnancy is higher with a higher dosage of Clomid, or if the risk is the same regardless of the dose. I have no ovulatory problems, but am on CLomid due to Luteal Phase deficiency. Does this mean Clomid will produce more eggs on top of the egg I would produce anyway? I would like to have as much information going into this as possible, so I am prepared at all levels. I am not sure what a high-risk pregnancy means, but we have been trying for 15 mos and I would hate something to happen after all this. I thank you in advance.
