39 Weeks - Not dilated, high blood pressure, & previous C-sectionFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 17 Dec 2001 18:22:57 -0600 (CST)
I just got back from the doctor. He said that I have not dilated any and that my blood pressure is 130/94. I had a c-section 19 months ago and really wanted to try to deliver vaginally this time. However, that doesn't look very promising now. I made an appointment for Thursday morning for a stress test and to re-check my blood pressure and cervix. My doctor said at that point I will have 3 options. Option 1 - Have the baby by c-section Thursday afternoon. Option 2 - Induce on Thursday. However, if I haven't dilated any, will it be better to just do a c-section? Option 3 - Wait until after Christmas (26th) to see if I have dilated any more, then try to deliver vaginally. I don't want to risk my health or the baby's? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Kim
