I'm not a doctor but know what you are going through. I am now 35 weeks pregnant and when I went for my first appointment at 4 months I had a uti and was given Macrobid also. I thought it had went away but at 21 weeks started having slight contractions and went to the hospital to find out it had gotten much worse and turned into pylenephritis(sp?), which is a bad kidney infection. I had also been getting pains in my lower back which made me think it was my kidneys. The Macrobid could take care of the infection for you but if you keep having symptoms after the medication I would tell your doctor. After I was released from the hospital and finished the Macrobid a second time I started keeping a fever over 101 so I have been on antibiotics since then until I deliver. If your symptoms get any worse make sure to let your doctor know and if he is still out of town go to the hospital and get checked. Good luck and if you have any more questions I would be happy to help.
