I am 13 weeks pregnant. I had been having slight buring when urinating, and slight bloating. So, I went to see the nurse, (my doc is out of town), and she did a dipstick in the urine. She said that she saw a slight amount of protein, and then she told me to take Macrobid 2x a day for 7 days.

Should this take care of it? What if it's a kidney infection? Would this take care of that too?

I have only taken one dose so far, but I just don't feel great. I've also been having some lower back pain.

Should I just take the meds or am I in an urgent sense of time to make sure it's not a kidney infection?
