I had a c-section back in 1998 and was told not to drive for 3 weeks, because of the muscles that are cut during the surgery, effect your leg movements. I questioned the doctor on why I couldn't drive and she said to imagine you are driving with your newborn son in the car and you have to stop quick but your legs aren't responding as they should, as quickly, because the muscles haven't completely healed yet. That's why. I'm sure a doctor can give you a more "medical" explanation...
