Premature Labor the second time aroundFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 10 Dec 2001 12:22:22 -0600 (CST)
I was wondering what the chances are that someone who has gone into preterm labor with their first pregnancy. Three years ago I went into preterm labor with my son at 32 weeks. I was put on bedrest and Breathine. I continued to have contractions so my OB doubled my dose of meds. I was taken off the meds and bed rest at 36 weeks and delivered my son a week later after only 5 hours of labor. My water broke at 9:20 p.m and when I got to the hospital at 10 pm I was 1 cm and at 1 am I was ready to deliver waiting for the doctor. I am now 6 weeks pregnant with number two. I asked my Ob if their is anything I can do to try and prevent PTL from happening again. He restricted my exercise at this time. Any help would be appreciated.
