can excercise with twins cause the demise of 1From: Kylie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Nov 2001 19:53:31 -0600 (CST)
I am carrying twins, 1 x IUFD, 1 normal. I am a dance teacher and as I danced with previous pregnancies I carried on as normal. The night before my 18wk scan which revealed twins I was doing things on my tummy at dance class which made me think that maybe I souldn't be doing, so I stopped. There was no pain, I just felt a bit cautious. Shortly after my scan (few days) I thought I was getting a bladder infection and I had a slightly tender abdomen, but nothing to make me suspicious. I then had a run of nose bleeds for about a week. The 2nd scan 17 days later showed 1 had died shortly after the first scan. They were both the same size at the 1st scan and the 2nd scan showed everything within normal range for the surviving baby so they do not think TTTS at this stage. I feel terribly responsible. I have 3 other children 4yr, 2yr & 1yr who were not terribly kind to my tummy either, I also used to sleep on my tummy. I took care of myself generally pretty well. What are the symptoms of placental abruption or putting a hole in the sac. Do you think this is what could have happened?
