Bicornuate Uterus with discharge and crampingFrom: Judy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Nov 2001 12:00:29 -0600 (CST)
I am pregnant with my 2nd child (5wk 6d) and my OB ordered a sono/ultrasound because my hormone levels are low and I have been experiencing cramping and brownish (sometimes streaked with bood) discharge. During the sono, I learned that I have a bicornuate uterus and that my pregnancy is on the left side. Both the radiologist (Doctor) and the tech were amazed that I had a "successful" pregnancy 2 yrs ago (I was on bedrest due to preterm labor for the last trimester). >From what I've read on the net, most women with this condition suffer from miscarriages as well as other complications. I can't see my OB until Monday and I wanted to know if the cramping and discharge are symptoms of an impending miscarrage? And has anyone been in this situation and later carried full-term (or near full-term)? Thanks!!
