Hello, I am in my 32 week of pregnancy and just got out of the hospital because I was having contractions. IV medication stopped the contractions and everything is fine. I also have genital herpes (for several years) and had a mild outbreak while in the hospital. During this mild outbreak my doctor placed her finger inside my cervix to see how dilated I was. Could this have pushed the virus further into the cervix and into the uterus, affecting the baby? I'm quite nervous about this, I hope you don't think it is a stupid question.
