Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am not a doctor but have had a VERY similar experience with visual disturbances. Mine were explained as a migrane but in the visual portions of the brain. I had them prior to pregnancy but they increased dramatically during pregnancy - especially toward the end and the MD's felt it was due to the increased blood flow. No treatment necessary. However, my sister had similar experiences but they were more associated with TIA's (mini strokes) and caused great alarm. I guess my suggestion is to call your physician.
