pre-eclampsia [PIH] without high blood pressure?

Can you have PIH without having high blood pressure? Are there more symptoms to it than just the high blood pressure? For the last week, I have been swelling - mostly in my left lower leg, ankle and foot [though the other foot swells slightly]. Also some swelling of the hands and face and my mouth. I had a headache three mornings ago which was worse over my right eye and it was so bad that I sat in the shower and cried. I have had a "full" feeling in my head and neck, like the feeling you get when you're hanging upside down. It comes with contractions and I feel like my head will pop with this feeling. And then I have those crazy light shows in front of my eyes - bright pinwheels, bright "staircase" shapes, and the "Star Wars" effect [it looks like I'm traveling backward through hundreds of bright stars]. I am starting my 40th week this friday. I'm 41 years old and I am currently 1 centimeter dilated, 30% effaced, with no sign of progressing any further. Both other babies were induced due to cervix not changing. Cervix did not open or efface until after water was broken, and then each child was born one hour later. Heeeeeeeelp! Thanks....Kristy
