Rare tearsFrom: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Nov 2001 16:26:57 -0600 (CST)
I have had two C-Sections due to fetal distress. The second, was a failed VBAC. During surgery, there was a surprise discovery of a torn bladder and a partial tear of my cervix. It had happened during the labor and/or when I was opened up for surgery. Unknown? It was discibed as a "mess". "Never seen before!" The possible reason for the tears could be caused by the tissues healing together. Adhered. It was suggested to not have anymore childern, and if I did get pregnant, it would be high-risk, bed rest, and concluding with a early, Classical C-Section. I want to know if I am the only one? Have you ever seen or experienced, this type of situation? And, is it true about my future prognosis? Is it because of the cervix having been torn?
