I am about to start my 40th week of pregnancy. The last couple of weeks, I have had these strange "light shows" in my field of vision. Now this is going to sound REALLY bizarre. I see shapes - most commonly a zig zag or "staircase" type shape, only it's made completely out of BRIGHT light. The light contains prism like colors, too - like in a rainbow. The shape actually moves, and it appears to be coming toward me [slowly] like an object in the distance. It takes about ten minutes for it to "move" to a point where it takes up almost my whole field of vision. Then it appears as if I travel "through" it and then it's gone. This happened with my prior pregnancy nine years ago, too. I am now 41 years old. Any ideas on this weird oddity? Last night I had it in only my right eye and when it got "close" and covered my vision, I could hardly see out of that eye for all the light!! Love, Kristy
