3 miscarriages at the exact 7th week due to slow rising HCGFrom: yll123 (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Nov 2001 12:28:26 -0600 (CST)
I’m having trouble getting my HCG doubled every 2-3days pass 5/6weeks into my pregnancy.I had three miscarriages already and am in my 4th attempt. I’m in my 5week-5day and had an U/S yesterday.A heartbeat(H/B) was detected and everything else looks good but my HCG went up only 25% to 2810 from 2247.Progesterone is not an issue. For this pregnancy, the doctor put me on Follistim and thought that a good quality egg would improve my chances for a full term pregnancy. Here’s my detail: Current(4th): Date HCG Progesterone Period 11/6 171 40+ 3week4day 11/8 458 40+ 3week6day 11/15 2247 40+ 4week6day 11/21 2810 5week5day(H/B-101bpm) 11/27 3024 6week4days(H/B-89bpm)*just-in,not good* I’m very concerned with my HCG not doubling because the pattern is so close to my last loss;HCG stopped doubling after 5-week5-day,2626->2076(see below).3rd pregnancy was a natural conception. 3thpregnancy: Date HCG Progesterone Period 5/12 149 4week3day 5/14 377 4week5day 5/21 2076 15 5week5day 5/27 2626 7.8 6week5day(H/B) 6/2 3499 17 7week5day(H/B) Now we look back and believe that the second loss probably went through the same pattern-I had an U/S in my 10-week but fetus measured 7week-2day,HCG wasn't doubling either back then.My progesterone was fine in the 2ndpregnancy.I was on Clomid for my second pregnancy. We see a pattern with these results. These were not random acts. In the past three losses my HCG were not doubled pass 5/6 weeks, even with heartbeat detected during 5-6 weeks, they stopped beating at around the 7-week. Is anyone out there experiencing the same or know what’s wrong? Please let us know. We have done all the typical infertility tests. Many thanks.
