Level II Ultrasound questionFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 22 Nov 2001 13:11:29 -0600 (CST)
I recently had a level II ultrasound because my 23 week ultrasound revealed a short femur. On the level II at 25 weeks the femur and the humerus made about 2 weeks growth since the previous ultrasound, but they were still measuring short. I will go back in 5 weeks to have new measurements made to see if the femur and humerus are still growing at the same rate. Is this common (short femur and humerus) to see on a baby in the womb who will grow up to have a height within the normal range or do differences usually manifest themselves after birth. I am 5'3 and my husband is 5'9. Also my husband has 2 siblings with mild adrenal hypoplasia, would that have anything to do with short femur or humerus lengths? Thanks,
-- Amy
