I'm not a doctor, but based on your note and symptoms I'd say: YES! Absolutely!

I'm on my 2nd pregnancy also in my 17th week, I have no pains like that now nor did I the first time. If you are in that much pain you should let your doctor know so that he can check on you and the baby - hopefully there is nothing to worry about, and you'll have some peace of mind.
