Need some reassurance - paranoid pregnant lady

I am sorry if my question is bothersome but my Doc is very pessimistic and I need some reassurance. I have had 4 miscarriages since Sept/00 and am now 10 weeks pregnant. I saw Doc last night and because of my 4 miscarriages this year, he tells me to be prepared, which I am but it seems to me that this is a healthy pregnancy. (I never made it past 8 weeks in prior ones)

Here are my facts;

LMP: Septemeber 5, 2001 HCG - Oct 18 - 29,335 ( around 6 weeks) U/S - Nov 1 - Crown Rump 17 mm, Heart beat 178, summary intrauterine pregnancy 8 wks 1 day (I was 8 wks 1 day according to the calendar)

I have had no nausea, very minor breast tenderness (although I see a lot of veins when I remove my bra now) and I am tired all the time (Doce says that's only because of the 400 mg of prometrium I am taking a day)

I have heard that miscarriage decreased at 10 weeks and even more at 12. As I said Doc isn't being too positive because of my lack of symptoms. What percentage of success do I have to make it to the 12th week and then the 40th given what we already know?

I would like to be excited about this pregnancy but am reluctant because of my history and my Doc's attitude.

Your opinion is greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.
