Muscle Soreness/Low-Grade Temp During M/CFrom: Alison (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 7 Nov 2001 09:05:28 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I am having a m/c. Had an u/s 1 1/2 weeks ago after I started staining which showed a blighted ovum. On Monday, bleeding got much heavier and I passed the sac that night. My bleeding is continuing to be fairly heavy and bright red. Yesterday (Tues), I went to the hospital and got my Rhogam shot (I am Rh negative) and they told me I was running a low-grade fever. Starting last night, I started to get extremely sore muscles in my legs and abdomen, which I assumed was a result of the cramping. This morning, the muscle soreness is all over my whole body - like I had a very intense workout. Here are my questions: 1. Is it normal to run a low-grade temp during the m/c process or should I call my dr (I want to avoid that if possible; I feel like I have been calling a lot during this process). 2. Is it common to have muscle soreness? Is this related to the m/c or possibly to the rhogam shot (I have had rhogram several times before during successful pgs and a prior m/c without feeling this)? Should I call my dr about it? Thank you for all your help. Alison
