IUI and body temperatureFrom: Shamin (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 5 Nov 2001 18:55:52 -0600 (CST)
I had an IUI last Friday (Nov 2nd). The next day (on Saturday) my body temperature was 98.8 (Before that since my last period it was between 98.1 - 97.9). I check my body temperature every morning. Then sunday (Nov 4th it dropped to 98.1. Even today (Monday Nov 5th) it was 98.1. I read somewhere in internet that the basal body temperature will rise after ovulation and stays high until you get your period. If you become pregnant it will stay high. In my case why it dropped? Does that mean I will not become pregnant? (The doctor checked my folicle every other day by sonogram and she gave me HCG injection on last Wednesday night (Oct 31st). So this means ovulation should have happened. I am kind of worried because if I don't become pregnant I have ot consider other ways. So please let me know why my body temperature is low and can I assume because of this I am won't become pregnant this month?
