Hyperemesis hellFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 5 Nov 2001 13:31:08 -0600 (CST)
Well, I've been through the homemade Benedectin, the promethazine, the zofran pills, and IV saline for rehydration. Now I'm on a zofran pump that costs $24,000 a month - thank god for health insurance. I lost 17 lbs in 3 weeks on top of the unknown amount I'd already lost. I'm able to eat and drink some - although (by doctors orders) it's all carbohydrates. Little fat, no dairy, no meat. I'm not even supposed to drink water because it has no calories and might upset my stomach. I'm doing a little better. I'm 13 weeks along. Has anyone out there had this experience? When will the nausea end? Sick of sickness and missing work. (and please no responses about how lucky I am to even be sick.)
