Should I schedule C-Section?

40 weeks tomorrow. Entire pregnancy anxiety ridden. 1st trimester bleeding episodes, initial CMV+ test but subsequent 2 tests negative. All sonograms normal including fetal echo.

Had problems with blood sugars. Most normal but many (esp after lunch) 1 hour as high as 160. Baby measuring large throughout -- 2 weeks ahead but especially head (large heads run in family!). No 3 hour GTT as have been monitoring sugars. Sono last week: EFW 8 lbs 2 oz. Not too bad -- my first was 8 lbs 13 oz when delivered vaginally.

Since week 34 have had weekly NST/BPP all normal. First 3 weeks baby was head down. Not engaged, but down. Week later the baby was transverse. Next week back to head down. 4 days ago at OB, baby head down but cervix long and closed. Yesterday, baby total breech. Feet down/head up. (Did not feel baby flip even though I did the first 2 times) Now I am terrifed about going into labor this weekend even though I have had no contractions at all (yesterdays NST showed none!)

I see OB Monday. Thinking c-section Tuesday might not be bad idea. Have never had surgery. A little squeamish but the thought of avoiding L&D, esp episiotomy sounds good even though i have heard all the horror stories about recovery from c-section.
