Hi,

Below I'll tell you the answers to your questions for my own pregnancy, but as you mentioned, all pregnancies and bodies are different. Something you might find helpful is the monthly birth board for your due date at http://www.babycenter.com -- you go to Bulletin Boards, then choose to "Join a Birth Club" for your EDD month. It's a great support system for women due at the same time, plus you have second-time nothers on the site who can relate and provide advice.

My breasts did become less sore in the earliest part of the second trimester, and I understand this is the trimester of the least breast growth. However, I have still experienced pains, especially without a supportive bra.

Morning sickness is lasted steadily into my 12th week. Even now, sometimes I have morning sickness, but it's sporadic and seems to be related to certain foods or waiting too long to eat.

Hunger related to nausea lasted longer than the nausea for me. This is how I started into a great appetite. In the fourth month I felt the need to eat a lot to quell an "angry" stomach -- about every two hours. But it's slowed down to a small meal every 4-5 hrs now at the end of the 2nd trimester.

If you have those "stretching uterus" cramps that feel like PMS cramps, they will probably subside very soon and be replaced by round ligament pains by 15 weeks.

I am not medium frame -- I am large frame and overweight -- and I was showing to self and spouse by 18 wks and to the world by 22 wks. This is probably the most variant thing... I have seen amazing difference in sizes of first-time moms. Most average-sized folks are showing by the 5th month.

Hope that helps a little, Meredith
