Are my chances improving?From: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 31 Oct 2001 20:20:20 -0600 (CST)
Hello I have been on clomid and this is my third cycle. I just found out I was pregnant on Monday, but it was a low positive. The mess with the office is an entire other story, but they finally gave me my correct levels as progesterone 10.8 and HCG 23. They said not to get my hopes up and it was a bad pregnancy. They put me on 200mg progesterone 3 times a day. She said my HCG has to be at least 30 by Friday, when I go in for repeat bloodwork. They did not test my blood at all during this cycle with no explanation. I have been stressing so much. I went to target tonight and got a home pregnancy test. It can detect 40-50 MIU/mL. I also drank a lot of water and did held my urine for about 1 1/2 hours. The pregnancy test was positive. Can I safely believe that my HCG is rising? Also, the office said they should have put me on progesterone supplements 3 days after ovulation...which would have been Oct 18th (insemination was done on the 15th). If my pregnancy is successful will our baby have any abnormalities due to the low progesterone in the beginning? I am getting more hopeful and keep on praying. I know the odds are against me, but I do have a positive attitude. We have been ttc for so long and I cannot give up hope. Thanks for putting up with all of my posts! Michelle
