However, as an individual becomes overweight, the risk of so many things increases, thus I have always counseled patients to attempt to be in the best possible shape at the time of conception. I have cared for several women who had recurrent pregnancy loss and the only factor they had was obesity. Unfortunately, this is not a controlled study and there are so many things about recurrent pregnancy loss that we don't understand... Lynn
