28 weeks pg and under stressFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 28 Oct 2001 13:40:05 -0600 (CST)
Hello! I'm 7 months pregnant and have had a very smooth first 7 months, with everything going perfectly normal. A week or so ago, some family turmoil has occured and I am completely depressed, crying constantly, and I don't see being able to resolve my problems within the next month or so. My husband is supportive, we are financially stable, I have a beautiful new home and I do have lots of friends to lean on for support. What can I do to help myself? I have an appt with a therapist tommorow that I called since I started having problems a week or so ago. Of course I am not taking any sleep medicine to help me sleep since I am pg. Last night I got up in the middle of the night and was able to be calmed and soothed by a warm jacuzzi (up until now, I have avoided baths due to baths not being recommended in pregnancy). Can I continue to take baths during pregnancy to help soothe me? What can I do to make sure that my baby does not feel my pain and stress? I am going to try to go to the gym today and hope that that helps. Thanks in advance for your help,
