Hi Dr. Braun,

Thanks for your reply. I tried calling my OB's office to see if they still wanted me to come in and according to my OB's nurse, he still wants to see me for the 3-hour test because he wants to monitor my sugar level and because he is concerned that the baby could gain substantial weight in the last week and a half before my induction.

With such little time left, I was surprised that he'd even bother with the test but I was wrong. Especially since you seem to agree with my suspicion that at this time (with less than 2 weeks to go & almost a month long use of Prednisone) and being induced in when I am 39 wks pregnant, I just don't see the need to head in. I guess I'll just follow instructions then....

My OB is well-respected and adored by our women's group at church and so I'll continue to trust his opinion.

Thanks for responding and clarifying my suspicions (may be too late in the game to worry about GD).
