37 weeks and not having a good timeFrom: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 23 Oct 2001 23:05:40 -0500 (CDT)
I am 37 weeks along and have been having a whole host of problems: In the past week and 3 days I get an average of an hour of sleep per day (usually not even that), in this same time period I have had harsh period-like cramping (sometimes with lower back pain). I have talked to my Dr (I have become a real pest i'm sure). So far, I have been given liquids for dehydration (it didnt help), given Demerol for the pain (helped for a few hours) and given sleep pills that did give me one night of full sleep. I realize I cannot keep getting shots of demerol and sleep pills, but I am really at the end of my rope and either lash out in anger (verbally) at my family, or just cry because I am so tired and the cramps are driving me crazy! My DR says I will go into labor at any time and just to take it easy, but that is easier said then done. I found out I am 3 dialated, but then was informed that is common with women who have babies before (I have 3). I read all posts and tried warm milk, but it made me sick enough to bring it all back up:( warm baths, nice but don't do the trick...anyone else have any suggestions before I go completely insane?
