Hi. I am scheduled for a C-section in two weeks (I will be 37 weeks 4 days - the date is accurate b/c of fertility u/s for ovualtion). I need a C-section b/c I have a full placenta previa - level 2 u/s confirmed it is still an issue at 34 weeks. I have 2 doctors in my practice - one says that he recommends an amnio 3 days before the section to check lung development, the other says it is not necessary. Bottom line is that it is my decision. I would like another opinion. I know there are risks associated with an amnio and at the same time I do not want to have a baby with lung problems. I am very confused and any help would be greatly appreciated.
