had u/s scan, now have some q's

I had my first us scan today at 6 weeks 5 days (give or take a day or two). They only did a trans abdo. They got a heart beat straight away, they didn't get a rate , but they said that it was normal, although i thought that it looked slower than it should be.

QUESTION 1 Am I overreacting, I mean they wouldn't say it was normal if it wasn't would they?

I am having a rescan in three weeks for dating, as they don't like doing trans vag scans, they did say that the fetus is around 6 weeks!!

QUESTION 2 What is the chance of miscarriage after a good heartbeat is detected?
