When does breast tenderness subside?

I am 10 1/2 weeks pregnant, and I'm just wondering when the sensitivity in my nipples will subside? One of my books says by the end of the first couple of months, but I have also read that decreased sensitivity could be a sign of impending miscarriage. Mine are still sensitive, but in varying degrees from day to day. I'm just looking forward to being able to take a shower without wincing! Thanks!
