Re: 22 days until EDD and told I DON'T Look Pregnant!!From: Rachael (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 8 Oct 2001 15:04:04 -0500 (CDT)
Count your blessings! I also have a tiny pregnant belly. Even up to a week before my baby was born with my last pregnancy, the doctor (mine regular OB was on vacation, so I was seeing one of his partners) was stressing out at my size, sending me for ultrasounds, etc. I delivered a 7 lb 7 oz baby at 39 weeks. Every one is built differently, and depending on your waist line, muscle tone, etc., you might never look huge like everyone expects you too. After having 4 serial growth ultrasounds during my last pregnancy, I just started saying "Thank you!" to people when they commented on how tiny I was. I also found enough guts to tell close family and friends that it stressed me out when everyone exclaimed how small I was, and asked them to please keep their comments to themselves. They respected my wishes. Good luck on your upcoming birth! My first daughter was born October 22nd, Fall is a beautiful time to have a baby.
