What you describe does sound pretty classic for IBS. Diarrhea is really not that common during pregnancy. The hormones associated with pregnancy tend to slow smooth muscle activity and thus slow the bowel, so constipation is much more common. I believe I would ask for an evaluation by a physician who knows bowel issues-either an internist or gastroenterologist... Lynn
