Hi. I am 39 weeks and 1 day and just went to my weekly appt. and have a couple of concerns. A few days ago I went into the hospital for what turned out to be false labor and the doctors became concerned about my blood pressure when I was there. It started out in the high 140s and was take a couple of times before dropping into the 130s. They did a PIH test and it turned out negative and my pressure eventually dropped to normal. Well today, my pressure was 130/76. Normally my pressure is 90-100 over 60-70. Recently it has been creeping up though. Also, they found a trace of protein in my urine. The physician assistant said it was not concerning. Should I have a second opinion as I have had periodic swelling that comes and goes.

Also, last night I went to the restroom to urinate and after urinating I had a small gush of fluid which may or may not have been urine. The force of the fluid was much greater than urine though. I thought it was my water breaking but I had no more fluid leaking afterwards. I told my P.A. about this and she said it may have been a small pocket of fluid that leaked out. Well, shouldn't there be concern of infection considering I am 3cm dilated and 75% effaced? She said I should be delivering soon and she checked the fluid levels by ultrasound and they were 8.1 so she was not concerned again. Am I being overly paranoid or should I follow my mom's instructions and go into the hospital to be checked? Thanks for your replies. Deej
