Just so you know I had a breech baby. DR.tried 5 times druing my labor to do an ecv. My baby flipped back each time. After five versions resulted in a c-section...cord was wrapped very tightly around his neck thus the reason he kept turning they believe. I was up and around in one week following my section with three other children to take care of. I was the same as you..absolutely didn't want a section and cried all the way to the operating room which was not good because of being so upset was given a mild sedative. The section wasn't near as bad as I thought. So hang in there and if it is the best for your baby you will have to do it.Believe me I did everything I could to avoid a section and get my guy to turn. So I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.
