Hi, As a parent of a child that was born with special needs I would suggest to you that you be there for your friend, try to tell her what a "gift" she has and that her child is "perfect", only time will tell if her baby is going to have other "issues", I am sure the professionals will suggest gentic testing and so forth. But truly, be her friend,be a shoulder for her to cry on, and if she really is having a hard time bonding, and coping please suggest professional help, in my case seeking professional help to help me with my grieving the loss of the child I was expecting and loving and accepting the child god gave me made all the difference in the world.
