unknown pregnancy and alcoholFrom: heather (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 30 Sep 2001 17:10:13 -0500 (CDT)
I just recently found out that I am pregnant, my last period started on August 25. However, since that time I have gone to 4 socials where I have consumed anywhere from 3 - 6 beers in one sitting (binge drinking). Once I found out, I have stopped doing anything harmful. My husband and I were very happy to find out that we were pregnant; however, I am deathly afraid that I have damaged our baby because of my drinking. I have visited so many websites on FAS and I am convinced that because I drank so much in the 1st 4 weeks our baby will have serious deformations of its head and other organs. We have both decided that it is not fair to bring a child into this world that would have these problems and we have decided to try the RU-486 pill. My question is, what are the chances of this baby being born with such defects? Thank you,
