Yesterday morning I woke up with stomach pains which I thought were gas. About two hours later, I started having diarehea. I also threw up. I am a high school teacher and a stomach flu has been going around. I had two more bouts of diarehea and then sent my husband to the store to get some peptobismo. This has been okayed by my doctor. The diarehea stopped and I did not eat anything for several hours. When I did, it was minimal and I felt okay. Three hours after I ate, I again vomited. I went to bed after that and this morning I woke up feeling better. My stools are now just about normal but they are black in color. I am not sure if this is because of the iron in my prenatal or because there is nothing in my stomach to come out. I have eaten a little today and it seems to be staying down. Are the dark stools something to be concerned about? I am 13 weeks pregnant and worried about the baby. Please advise. Thanks.
