I am feeling so sad... A dear friend who was due the day before me had her baby this morning (we spent alot of time together during the last few months sharing pregnancy experiences)... her sister called and told me that the baby girl was born weighing only 4lb 12oz (39 weeks) and missing her left hand. I am not sure how to respond and was wondering if anyone had experienced something similar and what helped. I delivered a very healthy little boy 1.5 weeks ago. Also, does anyone know if this type of thing is "isolated" or linked to other possible problems with the little girl? Thank you for any insight! SarahB
