low amniotic fluidFrom: Nicole (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 30 Sep 2001 09:26:11 -0500 (CDT)
I have a memory of being a child and my older cousing being pregnant. I remember everyone pushing on her stomach and saying,"Where's the baby?" b/c she never really showed. I also remember her giving birth to a stillborn child around 7-8 months, and the Dr.'s saying she had very low amniotic fluid, the reason given for the loss and the lack of showing. 1. Do I remember correctly? Can one not show b/c there is an inadequate amt. of fluid? I was searching the archives and saw rest/lack of movement mentioned...does this at times reverse the problem? If so, is it horrible that I am extremely active? This is my first pregnancy, I am very active, and people are saying the same ? to me I remember them asking her, and am terrified by this childhood memory!
