Dear OB/GYN.net Medical Staff and PUPP surviors:

Firstly, sorry for the LONG post but I am on the verge of losing it. I was recently diagnosed with PUPP. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant. I don't know how much longer I can take of this. I've been crying at work, at home and in between fitful nights of sleep... HELP!!!!

My questions are:

1. How bad can the spreading become? I know it does not usually get the face but this thing is all over my belly, buttocks, thighs, arms already.

2. I have been prescribed,by my dermatologist, a jar of triamcinolone acetonide cream (0.1%, to be used 2-3 times per day)to fight the rampant, vicious itchiness. I have already used Benadryl capsules (50 mg), Benadryl cream, 1% hydrocortisone, Gold Bond Medicated Powder and the relief is only temporary. A few hours at best and then the rage of itches begin again.. it is almost like being bitten by ants all day! Any other alternatives?

3. When is it safe to induce labor in my situation if the PUPP gets worse? It is barely tolerable as it is now. How soon could I try steroid shots????

I am practically on the brink of depression. If it were not for the fact that I am pregnant with my beloved first child (a boy), I'd have contemplated suicide this week.

Please, please, please, please help.
