blood pressure at 33 weeksFrom: Stacie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 29 Sep 2001 11:39:12 -0500 (CDT)
I have always had great blood pressure...including during my last two pregnancies. Well, at my last OB visit, my first BP reading was 150/98! They had me lie on my left side, and about 10 min. later the reading went down to 110/88. They said it was fine, and no further comment was made. No comments about monitoring it, diet changes, no caffeine, etc. I have had no headaches, swelling, or protein in the urine, but still I am worrying (trying not to because I know that doesn't help matters). I borrowed my mom's digital BP monitor and took it a little bit ago, and from my left arm I got a reading of 135/76 and 15 min. later of sitting in the same position I took it in my right arm and got a reading of 128/75. I don't know what to think. Any advice? BTW, I am 33 years old now and my daughters are 6 and 10. Would my being older now have any bearing on it? Why isn't my OB more concerned? Thank you, Stacie 33 weeks with #3
