I have had pain in my vagina/cervix that was sharp and hurt to walk. I was told that it is my body stretching and getting ready for labor. This occurred weeks before delivery.

As for back labor, for me, it started like a bad period (when your inner thighs and back would ache). It got progressively worse, and once the head was engaged felt like I had "thrown my back out."
