What you want is just plain old regular Robitussin with only the
expectorant guaifenesin in it. Robitussin DM contains both guaifenesin
and dextromethorphan, which is a cough suppressant. No need for the
dextromethorphan, unless you also happen to have a cough ;-) I don't
think that the extra dextromethorphan would hurt- it's not an
antihistamine, so it shouldn't produce a drying effect. Still, it's not
necessary, so why get it?
