Ovulating?

I have searched the archives but, i cannot find the exact answer i am looking for. How do I know if I have ovulated? I know you dont have to ovulate to get your period and that the opk kits only detect the LH surge. i read on the box of the opk that even if it detects the surge--it doesnt gurantee that you are going to ovulate. you can have a surge without ovulating. i had a d&c in feb. 2001 and since then my periods have been so messed up and my gyno made a comment that she thinks i may not be ovulating. my period was so predictable before i got pregnant and then the d&c seemed to mess everything up. anyway, my ultimate question is: is there a test like a blood test or something that will show if i am ovulating? any suggestions? my hubby and i want a baby so badly and we keep trying but nothing. we are so broken hearted after the miscarriage and if i am not ovulating we will be so devastated. please help!
